Hold a General Election before Christmas 2022
We now have a government that is pushing through policies that were not in its manifesto. It is led by someone elected by Conservative Party members but who has now had to abandon all the policies that those members voted for. There is no legitimacy in this position.
Once a government looses legitimacy, it cannot continue to represent the people. At a time when we are facing continued repercussions from the pandemic, a war in Europe and a cost of living crisis, we need a clear direction and one chosen by the population. We need an election to keep our democracy in tact.
