With the radical redesign of our coins in 2008, the figure of Britannia, whose presence graced our coins for hundreds of years, ceased to be on coins in everyday circulation. The chancellor's announcement in the 2014 budget of a new £1 coin is a perfect opportunity to put Britannia back onto our coins and give her the pride and respect she deserves.

Let's put Britannia back on our coins.
