Increase the tax credit cost of living payment to £1000

Petition Details

We want the government to cap the Tax Credit cost of living payments to £1000 to match the inflation hike.

Additional Information

Ex prime minister Liz Truss had refused to commit to increasing welfare benefits in line with inflation, but said she was “absolutely committed” to pressing ahead with the abolition of the top rate of income tax for the rich.

This in fairness does not help the low income and deprived families in UK who will struggle pay fuel bills, and at the same feed their children and keep up with increased mortgage payments.

That would would an increase of £350 on top of the November payment.
