ex-Prime Ministers to get annual £115k life allowance ONLY if serving 1 year+
Truss will be able to claim up to £115k annually despite the shortest tenure of any British prime minister. This is outrageous after only 45 to 50 days. Change rules so that Prime Ministers can only claim money from the Public Duty Costs Allowance (PDCA), if serving for over 1 year and put limits in
Change the rules so that ex-Prime Ministers can only claim money from the Public Duty Costs Allowance (PDCA), if (1) serving for over 1 year and (2) only claim for a maximum period of 10 years after office and (3) make it subject to not earning £100,000 or more in taxable income in any year of claim. (Link to income tax rate at which individuals start to lose their personal allowance (currently £100,000)).
