Include "English" as a national identifier on official government forms.
"English" should be included as a national identifier on official government forms such as the census etc in the same way that Welsh, Irish and Scottish .
People who identify as solely English are discriminated against on official UK Government forms as they can only officially identify as British on official forms.
This is fundementally wrong and should be addressed in the name of equality.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
English was included in the 2021 census as an option for national identity and ethnic group.
You can read the agreed list of ethnic groups you can use when asking for someone’s ethnicity, which includes English, here: www.ethnicity-facts-figures.service.gov.uk/style-guide/ethnic-groups
