Petition Action

Ban the sale of fireworks

Petition Details

Ban the sale of fireworks to only licensed persons and not allow the public to have access to fireworks. Organised displays by licensed persons or local councils and area authorities only.

Additional Information

After asking the police to step in when local youths were setting fireworks off at 1:30am we were told that it was a council noise issue. Even a restriction on bangers, air bombs or any type of firework that emits a loud explosion would be welcome relief for residents, dog owners, and vulnerable people.
