Let the people, opposition parties & parliament decide to call General Election.
Call for the right to a Democratic vote for the people, opposition parties and parliament to call a General Election when deemed in the interests of the country to do so. To redress established constitutional conventions and abolish sole right of incumbent Prime Minister to call a General Election.
We live in a democratic country. The voting public should have a bigger say who governs our country and who our Prime Minister and political party are. This has been undermined by recent events leading up to the resignation of Liz Truss and her predecessor, Boris Johnson. I believe it should not be up to a few select party MP's and the 1922 committee and party members from the Conservative party to elect our Prime Minister. It should be the right the Democratic right of the people.

The House of Commons can already undertake a vote of no confidence in the Government, which by convention should lead to a General Election, so we're not sure how you'd like opposition parties and parliament's role to be different.
