Make the UK stay on British Summer Time all year.
Legislate to make the UK stay on British Summer Time all year.
The benefits of staying on BST in the winter include:
- more daylight in the afternoons improving people’s quality of life
- energy savings from people delaying using lights in the afternoons
- reduced carbon emissions resulting from energy savings
- reduced accidents in afternoons as supported by RoSPA
- improve the safety of women who want to go outside in the afternoons during daylight hours
