Stop people giving up their British citizenship from claiming from the state
I would like to see people who are giving up their British citizenship so they can earn money abroad in tax havens where they don’t pay income tax to be refused access to state services such as the NHS and to stop their eligibility for claiming state pension.
There is a generation of young people who are being told they can earn money without paying tax by giving up their British citizenship and living a lavish lifestyle in places such as dubai where they don’t pay income tax. They are not being informed of the risks of giving up their citizenship and stricter limitations such as this would likely make people reconsider.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
Your petition refers to people giving up their British citizenship, but your petition goes on to refer to people living in Dubai and not paying tax. The tax a person pays depends on where they live, not their citizenship, and it's therefore not clear what arrangements you're concerned about.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
