Petition Details

To have key performance indicators in legislation and regulations that makes lying to the public illegal and also brings clear information on promises made and other factors such as economic, environmental, energy, unemployment, infrastructure performance, fulfillment of election promises etc..

Additional Information

Greater transparency and accountability in politics. Legislation and regulation that penalises poor prerformance and helps prevent politicians lying and not living up to their election promises and clearly gives the information through key performance indicators without the bias from the press and news media.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you want to see new legislation governing elected representatives, but it's not clear if you want this to apply to all elected representatives, or only those in Government. It's also not clear exactly what legislation you want to be introduced. Your petition refers to people being penalised for poor performance, but it's not clear what penalties you want to be put in place.
