Petition Action

Ban fireworks unless they are displays.

Petition Details

Ban the use of household fireworks being sold and used in gardens and unlicensed places. The amount of stress it puts on animals, both wild and pets is unbearable. They shouldn't have to go through what they do just for people's entertainment.

Additional Information

The government must be aware of this issue as it has been going on for a long long time. People have protested and placed petitions for this for some time. Something needs to be done about it. If it affected humans the way it does animals then it would have been sorted out long ago. It's not the animals fault this happens and as a society we can easily do something about this. We have to be the voice for these poor animals.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
