Stop tickets for events from be sold for no more than face value
Introduce legislation, whereby, tickets that are purchased for gigs/events cannot be sold for greater than the face value of the ticket.
By introducing this legislation, it would stop touts and individuals from buying up tickets, with the sole purpose of selling on a profit (on occasion, at several times than the face value of the original purchase price). This would allow more genuine fans to gain access to tickets at the price set by the artist/promoter.
Artists do not profit from ticket resales and it’s genuine fans that have to choose between inflated prices or from not attending the event altogether.
