This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Transport for London is already a publicly owned transport operator, owned by the Greater London Authority.

It's not clear if you want the Government to make changes to how public transport operates in London, or the rest of the country.

The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for Transport for London. It is the responsibility of the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. If you wan the Government to take action in relation to public transport in the rest of England we may be able to accept a petition on this, but you'd need to be clear what you want the Government to do.
