Cancel plans for HS2 to fill the fiscal black hole
Scrap the planned £50-70 billion project and repurpose these allocated funds to fill the fiscal black hole.
The government has already admitted the economic benefits will not outweigh the financial costs.
Now is not the time for cuts to public services and rises in tax rates.
