Raise LHA in line with inflation in 2023.
Please do not freeze LHA again next year and look to find ways of solving our current private rental sector crises as a matter of urgency.
There has been a shortfall in LHA and actual rents for far too long. These shortfalls have been a major cause of poverty for those on low incomes and benefits...long before the energy crises and the rise in inflation.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action, for which it is directly responsible. We understand that you are concerned about Local Housing Allowance rates, but these are set by Valuation Office Agency Rent Officers, who are operationally independent.
We could accept a petition calling for the Government to change the rules governing Local Housing Allowance rates, so that these are set in a way that better reflects local rental prices, but you'd need to be clear how you wanted these rules to be changed.
You can find out more about how Local Housing Allowance rates are set here: www.gov.uk/guidance/local-housing-allowance
