Petition Action

Regulate the use of GnRHa drugs for paediatric transition.

Petition Details

Enact legislation to enable strict evidence-based regulation for the manufacturing, importing, distribution and prescribing of GnRHa drugs (i.e. puberty blockers), including the use of GnRHa drugs ‘off label’ for the purpose of paediatric transition in the UK.

Additional Information

GnRHa or ‘puberty blockers’ are used to suppress puberty of children diagnosed with ‘gender dysphoria’. Growing evidence suggests GnRHa are associated with physical, social and developmental side-effects. Contrary to the narrative that GnRHa gives children ‘time to think’, there’s a dramatic increase in the likelihood of children seeking a ‘medical pathway’.The Government should enact a ban on the use of GnRHa for the purpose of ‘gender dysphoria’.
