Do More to Help Single Mothers with Sickle Cell Disease
Sickle Cell Anaemia is a debilitating and very painful chronic disorder of the red blood cells. It affects both men and women mainly from African and Caribbean heritage, but is particularly difficult for single mothers who do not have the support they need for themselves and their children.
The Government should do more to help single mothers in this position because it is practically impossible to be in hospital or be recovering at home whilst tending to childcare needs like school preparations etc. There should be more support from the government available specifically for single mothers who struggle with this excruciatingly painful disability.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure what extra support you'd like the Government to provide.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
