Petition Action

Change law to allow the monarch to remove titles from people.

Petition Details

Amend law so the monarch may remove titles such as dukedoms, either at their own discretion or under advisement of the government. Subsequently allowing the stripping of the Duke of York, and Duke & Duchess of Sussex, of their titles.
And the government to advise his Majesty to remove said titles.

Additional Information

The Duke of York and Duke and Duchess of Sussex have all behaved in such a way that many feel their titles should be removed.

Many people in York do not wish to have the Duke of York associated with their fine city.

Also, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from Royal duties expressing a desire for a normal life, yet continue to use the titles in their commercial endeavours.

We, the people, want the Duke of York, and the Duke & Duchess of Sussex stripped of those titles.
