Introduce a salary for trainee teachers(to deal with expenses e.g.-travel)
I would like for the government to introduce a salary for trainee teachers. Currently trainee teachers do not receive any payment from the government , however many spend hours planning the lessons, teaching and spending time travelling to and from their college/school their training is at.
This term we have had a trainee teacher cover the majority of our lessons. He thoroughly plans, reads endless articles to provide us with the best examples. He is a graduate with mounting student debt, rent and travel expenses and his time and effort, which provides us with an education,is not being valued. Our employed teacher is on salary without planning the lessons and for some lessons he is not present. As students,we would like the younger teaching generation to be appreciated by the government.
