Offer a knighthood to Gareth Southgate
Recommend Gareth Southgate for a knighthood in His Majesty's honours list
Professional sport - and in particular the English football manager's position - has become tarnished by the condict of some of its incumbents. Mr Southgate has single-handedly restored its status. He has done this by showing:
decency
humility
compassion
understanding
wisdom
... and many other qualities so often lacking in holders of such positions. His is an example we need to hold up and seek to emulate. For this reason, I believe we should do our utmost to recognize his conduct.
