Make the railway an essential service to prevent strikes from taking place
During the year of 2022 the public have been subjected to over 10 rail strikes impacting an array of people. This action has damaged hospitality and retail venues and has financially damaged the people who are dependant on public transport to get to work to name a few of the groups impacted.
I ask the Government to consider recognising the railway as an essential service in order to prevent further strikes of mass scale.
