Compulsory politics/current affairs education for 1 hour a week from years 7-9.
Many young voters (18-25) have never been properly educated about politics, therefore have no idea about who to vote for. Education in this area is therefore essential, as now the turnout for 18-30 year olds is only 30%. I believe that current affairs and politics are as important to learn about from a secondary school age as the sciences, english, maths, and the arts subjects (art, music, textiles).
