The UK Government to commit to a ban on vaccine passport schemes.
The UK Government to commit to non-implementation of vaccine passport schemes, both domestically or as part of a global scheme. Section 23 of the declaration of the 2022 G20 summit, acknowledged the importance of shared standards to facilitate international travel, including proof of vaccinations.
The introduction of vaccine passports would be the start of the process of creating digital identities for citizens. These would permit government to exert considerable control over citizens, not only with respect to international travel, but also domestically by restricting access to public and private facilities to those who meet certain criteria, such as vaccination status.
This would amount to making medical procedures or other requirements mandatory by the back door.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not aware of any proposals from the Government to introduce a vaccine passport. We can't accept petitions calling for the Government or Parliament to ban future policies because it's not possible for any Government or Parliament to bind its successors.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
