Put more laws in place to help over 60's against age discrimination
I propose more legislations and rights to be put in place to prevent people over the age of 50 to be without employment for no good reason. Perhaps a scheme where there is employment support to people who have valuable skills to the workforce find work.
I have witnessed first hand discrimination in over 50's who are perfectly employable who have been pushed out of jobs for younger candidates and have decline after decline from employers due to their age. There are many laws now rooting for diversity but this does not seem to include age, we should be looking to them for their experience and knowledge in companies, it is damaging to their mental health being looked upon as 'old'.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Age discrimination is already illegal, so we're not clear what extra protections you'd like to see happen.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
