Make Christmas day and boxing day the same national holiday.
I believe not too long ago we used to close our retail shops and other comsumer outlets from Christmas eve to the 1st of January, New years day. I'm only asking for Christmas day and boxing day off. Its meant to be a time for spending with family and being at home. Not out shopping.
It would improve moral across a spectrum of businesses. There can be no pleasing everyone, and those that deserve it the most, they work for the services, (hospitals, fire, police etc), they are needed 365 days of the year. I wish we could create a holiday for them too.
