Start Covid test for passengers from China
All news reports suggest, new variants could be more virulent and more contagious than the ones already circulating. Hence government should take simple precautionary measure as soon as possible. UK should start testing passengers for Negative Covid report.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since you started your petition the Government has announced that passengers arriving from China to England will need to show a negative COVID-19 pre-departure test taken no more than 2 days prior to departure.
In addition, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is launching surveillance which will see a sample of passengers arriving in England from mainland China tested for COVID-19 at the point of their arrival.
