To raise the standard wage due to inflation

Petition Details

It would be great if you could raise the standard wage people are receiving at current. As we have see the price of gas and electric has sky rocketed along with shopping it its becoming impossible for people to live. I personally have see this with many people here in south east london.

Additional Information

Private sector workers are being treated un fairly for example my mum works as a carer at a care home in chislehurst she is currently working 13 hour days for as little as £9.50 a hour just to try an pay bill and put food on the table an this is a struggle even with other family members working.
The elderly are not able to live their last years in comfort with any worry about where their next meal will come or worried about putting the heating on due to the price of gas.
