Require landlords to supply references from past tenants

Petition Details

For references from past tenants to be supplied by every landlord before a new tenant moves into a property. The Government should put in place measures to ensure that references are genuine.

Additional Information

I have personally been effected by moving into flats that had on going / known issues that hadn’t been sorted before moving in.
