Create a law which constitutes spiking and needling as grievous bodily harm
The spiking of drinks has become a growing issue in the UK, with a recent survey showing
that one in nine women, and one in seventeen men, have been victims to this cruel and
abusive act (UK Parliament, 2021).
This concerning issue started with the emergence of
individuals using methods of needle spiking drugs into female's bodies at nightclubs or house parties. Law-makers should take this concerning issue into account for creating a healthier and safer environment for students and youth population in general.
