Stop Rishi Sunak from being able to block royal assent for Self ID
Scotland's Self ID bill is in line with international practises, and was also on Theresa May's government manifesto. To block it will confirm that the UK government would rather allow the oppression of trans people to continue than show a shred of compassion towards them.
This is an assault on transgender individuals' dignity, and shows that the UK is not compassionate towards trans individuals, a minority that makes up ONLY 0.5% of the population, according to the Census.
To block this bill from receiving royal assent, something which has never been done before, will cause tensions between Scotland and Westminster to boil over, embarrass the UK, as well as causing an already discriminated against minority further strife.
