Increase the age of consent for sexual activity from 16 to 18
We are asking for the legal age of consent to change from 16 to 18 as at 16 we believe people are not mature enough to make choices about engaging in sexual activity, and may not be able to recognise when someone is trying to take advantage of them.
We believe this could help protect vulnerable young people from being taken advantage of.
