All products should have a manufacturer retail price to reduce cost of living.
All items should have the MRP as standard, so pricing of goods is fairs and customers will not have to overpay due to retailers overcharging. This will reduce the cost of living as customers will pay minimum MRP or lower. However, they will not be overcharged again by retailers.
Everyone in the news is talking about the rising cost of living and how many people are struggling financially due to inflation. By introducing a manufacturer retail price on all items, it will make a huge difference in reducing the monthly living cost of each family in the UK.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about whether to recommend a retail price are a matter for manufacturers, and decisions about what price to charge for products are a matter for individual retailers, not the UK Government or Parliament.
