Link the Smart Export Guarantee tariff with wholesale prices
The price for selling and buying electricity needs to be regulated in favour of green electricity generation. The energy companies should buy the excess of energy produced by the micro-generators at actual wholesale prices.
The electricity suppliers set significantly different selling and buying price for the renewable electricity generated by residential micro-generators. This forces the people generating renewable energy to sell it at disproportionally low prices. This practice should not be allowed as it disadvantages the micro-generators and it impedes the removal of fossil-based electricity generation from the grid.
