change the high rate of child benefit charge to be household based not individua
currently if parent 1 earns 55000 and parent 2 10000 child benefit is paid back.
but if parent 1 earns 49999 and parent 2 49999 nothing is paid back.
meaning lower income family’s are put further at risk. the calculation should be similar to child tax where it’s based on household earnings
because it’s a government policy which is outdated and unfair in this current world
