An examination on unused land along the HS2 route for community allotments.
The aim of this campaign is to raise awareness of the project to build allotment gardens along the side of the HS2 railway line. Utilizing the wasteland either side of HS2 that has not been allotted to the Cyclepath is a primary goal and helping to access healthy, affordable food.
This campaign calls on the Government to do more to support the project and its potential benefits for local communities, as well as to encourage Government action in order to make it a reality.
The campaign is calling on the Government to provide financial support for this project and create a clear pathway towards its implementation. . Additionally, we are asking them to consult with local stakeholders and ensure that any plans are created with input from those most affected by it.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about allotments are a matter for relevant local authorities, not the UK Government or Parliament.
You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
