Cut tax on pub beer & increase shop bought alcohol tax to save jobs
By increasing tax on supermarket alcohol and offsetting with tax cuts on pub beer, jobs in hospitality could be saved, additional revenue raised and more NHS and Social Care money raised. Pubs and community resources (e.g. social and sports clubs) could run at profit.
Cut tax on pub alcohol, increase tax on supermarket alcohol. Seems obvious.
