Additional Information

A main part of Islamic beliefs is salah. Salah is a compulsory act of worship for Muslims 5 times a day . However by the end of the school day 1 prayer time has gone by . Students would like to make a movement to pray salah during lunch time but have multiple times been denied . Please help us change this .

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about the provision of spaces for prayer are a matter for individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament, but we have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:

Give secondary school students a right pray in school: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/631426
