Stop UK Government subsidies of UK fossil fuel companies.
Since the Paris Agreement, the government has provided £13.6 billion in subsidies to the UK oil and gas industry.
Why is our Government continuing to subsidise the polluting fossil fuel industries? Industrial companies that have known for years how their products damage our environment.
Imagine our environment today, if over the same time period, £13.6 billion had been spent on flood management, food production, biodiversity, reforestation etc.
What is your priority?
Share holders increase in income, whose company's products have AND ARE knowingly polluting?
Or
A healthy living environment here and now and the achievement of net zero / 1.5°C targets. The Government could lead the world on this issue as a real champion against climate change.
