Introduce a bill so that workers will receive an inflation pay rise annually!
Introduce a bill that will force all employers, that hire individuals on extended contracts at salary and/ or hourly positions, to offer and accept to provide their employees a pay rise equal to the current years average inflation rate.
When a person agrees to terms and conditions of employment, the person's skills and experiences are valued at the monetary value at a singular point of time.
Over time inflation causes money to have less value. This causes the worker to be underpaid, because the same wage can no longer sustain the same quality of life compared to the year before - this is wage theft at best!
Workers should not have to fear or be rejected such a reasonable adjustment!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the wages of people who work for private companies.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example you could start a new petition asking for a higher national minimum wage, if that's something you'd like to see.
