Install traffic cameras outside schools.
Install traffic cameras at St. Joseph's Primary School in Christchurch, Dorset, which is on a main artery to a large residential area and is also a bus route.
Vehicles are parking dangerously and ignoring traffic laws put in place to safeguard children.
To create an effective deterrent to irresponsible and dangerous driving and parking outside schools, and therefore increasing child safety and reducing risk to pedestrians.
Road markings are displayed to inform everyone of the laws and they are being ignored.
The lack of an effective deterrent has resulted in more and more vehicles choosing to stop and park irresponsibly, causing an increased, unacceptable and unnecessary risk to our children’s safety.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about the installation of traffic cameras are a matter for the relevant traffic authority, not the UK Government or Parliament.
