Petition Action

Stop the production of fast fashion

Petition Details

I want the government to incentivise fast fashion companies to stop using cheep, polluting and exploitative materials.

Additional Information

Acetate, Acrylic, Lyocell, Microfibre and Nylon are a named few of synthetic materials used in the production of clothes.
They harm our environments water ways and ecosystems therefore us.

Not only the environment the fast fashion industry exploits; it exploits people and animals.

By giving insensitives to fast fashion companies to be above board then the planet and people can recover from the climate catastrophe.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about 'fast fashion', but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Your petition refers to certain materials, but it's not clear if you want the Government to ban the import or sale of clothes made using these materials, or do something else.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

If you start a new petition you'd need to provide your full name.
