Reduce allowed frequency of advertising for over 50s insurance and cremations
Put restrictions in place on frequency/or allowed hours for this category of advert
Currently (especially on sky), every advert break will have at least one of these adverts. It’s damaging to the mental health of the elderly to be reminded of their death every ten minutes for 8 hours, this is at a time when mental health is at an all time low following social isolation as a result of the last 3 years in addition to the financial crisis we’re in.
A solution would be to reduce the frequency to one per hour per channel or only allow 4 hours per to contain this category of ads.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about the amount of television advertising that broadcasters can transmit and where such advertising can be scheduled are a matter for Ofcom, not the UK Government or Parliament.
