Tighter restrictions on the advertising and selling of vapes, to deter children
At present, vapes are heavily marketed towards young adults, drawing in the attention from teens and children. In 2022, 7% of vape users were 11-17 year olds - we don’t know the full extent this will have on their health in the future.
There is a growing epidemic of smokers, meaning the pressure on our NHS in the future due to long term effects on their developing lungs will be catastrophic.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about current marketing of vaping devices, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
We have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:
Introduce new restrictions on vape packaging, flavours and display: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/631999
Ban all advertising for vapes and e-cigarettes: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/629546
If you'd like the Government to do something different to the above petitions you could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
