Our Democratic freedom to Choose is being denied, we demand a Vote on new CPZ's, we are Human beings not statistics, Cost of living Crisis, in April, the energy cap is being scraped, energy costs, council tax, train fares, all will rise the burden this will place on already hard pressed incomes is unimaginable, we are being dictated to, the Controlled Parking Zone's cannot be allowed without a VOTE, the Democratic process to decide, a chance to choose, a Vote that is all we ask, nothing more

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about whether an individual local authority holds a referendum on implementing a controlled parking zone are a matter for that local authority, not the UK Government or Parliament.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to require a local referendum for any new controlled parking zones, if that's something you would like to happen.
