Members of Parliament wages set at the average wage of their constituents.
Reduce Members of Parliament wages to the average wage of their constituents. Restrict expenses to cover reasonable travel and accommodation only (standard to be set based on average British company expenses for travelling employees).
MP's are empowered by the people, to speak and act on behalf of the people that they represent, which is impossible when they can't relate to the everyday hardships of those people. Aligning their wages with that of their constituents will ensure that the elected MP's will be working in the best interests of the people, as it will now benefit them to do so.
