This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you want to see changes to the criminal justice system, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

We could accept a petition calling for polygraph tests to be allowed to be used in a court of law, and for all criminal cases to be decided by jury, but it's not clear what other changes you want.

It's not clear if you want all custodial sentences to be replaced with arrangements for convicts to stay at home.

The Government, police and solicitors are not responsible for determining the guilt of defendants. Decisions about criminal convictions are made by the courts.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
