End the inequality of the ESA legislation on Permitted Work
Permitted Work is beneficial to those with a health condition or disability and should be encouraged.
The way that income is calculated for Permitted Work favours some workers in place of others.
V4799 and V4800 can make this unviable when paid monthly.
Examples of this:
Sue works 15 hours per week at £10 per hour and is paid weekly, so her entitlement to ESA is accepted as per V4799. Sue has an income of £7800 per year plus ESA.
Sarah also works 15 hours per week at £9.76 per hour and is paid monthly, which given V4800 means that she is NOT entitled to ESA for 8 months of the year. Sarah has an income is £7612.80 per year with a loss in ESA.
We need to encourage people to work when able and not penalise them for doing so.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about how eligibility for Employment Support Allowance is calculated, but it's not clear exactly how you want this to be changed.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
