Disabled people need to be prioritised for adaptable council houses being built.
Demand fully adaptable council houses for disabled people allocated fairly. New builds should not go to non-disabled applicants. It is unfair and unjust to offer the limited and much-needed new build council houses to applicants who do not have mobility issues.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about allocation of local housing are a matter for individual local authorities, not the UK Government or Parliament.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to provide ring-fenced funding for social housing designed for disabled people, if that's something you'd like to happen.
