Make peer on peer support groups in secondary schools mandatory
The Government should have peer on peer support groups for children in secondary schools as the rise in cases of mental health conditions is at an all time high and children aren't receiving the support they need due to long waiting lists for CAHMS.
This could have a large impact of students and could take stress off large services such as CAHMS and reduce waiting list and give children who are struggling with mental health a place to talk and make friends who are going through similar issues, and help manage their mental health.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about organising peer support groups in schools are a matter for individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament.
