Petition Action

Return the Koh-i-noor diamond to India

Petition Details

Return the Koh-i-Noor diamond back to India where it belongs.

Additional Information

The Koh-i-noor diamond was stolen from India. It indicates the catastophic colonial history of British. Take accountability for the history and appologise returning this. This has been shamefully overdue.
The kohi noor was stolen from a 10 year old King in India.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the Koh-I-Noor diamond is part of the Crown Jewels and the decision to return it would be a matter for the Royal Family, not the UK Government or Parliament.
